Training Overview

Seraaj Family Homes’ Training Institute was formalized in 1995. The organization provides trainings throughout the year on a number of topics required by its accrediting and licensing bodies. Our goal is to enhance the skill levels of professionals serving children and families. In the recent past we have partnered with Alabama Department of Youth Services, Alabama Voices for Children, Early Intervention, and the Foster Family-based Treatment Association. The Training Institute is a state of the art facility which has capabilities to train over seventy (70) participants. Future teleconferencing will enable us to simultaneously train members throughout the organization.

Each trainer is required to submit a resume indicating experience in the particular field of training, a list of objectives to be covered, visual aids or tools used in training and / or handouts to be used. Each trainer is evaluated by the participants at the conclusion of each training session.
